A Scottish / Hong Kong Chinese Producer Director of creative documentaries, San has a passion for fresh, dynamic filmmaking that gets people talking and pushes boundaries.  A former current affairs reporter followed by years of crewing in feature fiction for studios like Working Title, Vertigo and Ealing, her focus is now combining pressing real world stories with the cinematic.

She develops original stories and is a self-shooting Director, producing work both for festivals and broadcast in a range of approaches, from current affairs to observational and more hybrid creative forms.

Her work has been commissioned by channels including BBC3, Al Jazeera and VICE and received nominations, a One World Media Award, A Foreign Press Association award and been selected for various markets, festivals and schemes. She formed Younger Productions in 2015 from a desire to better address the evolving form, platforms and audiences for documentaries.

Member of BAFTA Crew, Brown Girls Doc Mafia and a BEATS (British East Asians in Theatre and Screen) Fellow, San is a passionate advocate for greater diversity in both the storytellers we celebrate and the stories we tell.
